Ingredients Matter®

Non-Toxic Living

Coconuts are a renewable resource and sustainable since no tree is cut down in order to pick the coconuts. They are not sprayed with pesticides and most of the farms say they are fair trade. Coconut oil is a wonderful carrier for our essential oil aromas as it has a lower melt point which helps to keep the therapeutic benefits and phytoactive values alive in the most holistic way. We make our own coconut wax fresh daily. Our wax does not contain any soy, paraffin, or beeswax.

In an industry lacking ingredient transparency and full of greenwashing, we keep it simple. We use real essential oils because we believe in the power of aromatherapy. Our candles and products not only smell amazing and have beautiful messages, but are truly wellness products, with benefits varying on the blend of essential oils. Each essential oil contains hundreds of antibacterial, anti viral natural constituents that have the ability to enter the body through the olfactory system. They are easily absorbed through the skin, and can benefit the nerve and lymphatic system. Plant aromas have more to offer than just smelling good – they contain antiseptic and healing qualities as well. They may enhance or lift your mood and help keep the body and environment pure.
Essential oils are the fragrant plant materials within plant cells, extracted by a physical process, such as steam distillation, from the plant. Essential oils are more potent than dried herbs and they are the ultimate in natural healthcare. Ancient Egyptians, Chinese medicine and the Indian science of Ayurveda relied upon the power of essential oils from plants to maintain the health of the mind and body.

Because we do not use any preservatives or stabilizers in any of our candles, they do not do well in extreme heat. We take as many precautions as possible to ensure that your order arrives in tiptop shape, even in the warmest circumstances. Our candles are handmade fresh daily with love and care to ensure you receive the highest quality real essential oil, plant based product in the world. Due to the handmade, truly natural candles and products we make, the essential oils can vary in color and behavior from batch to batch… so there may be variations from time to time. This is what nature does… it is part of the beauty.
Candle Care & Burning Instructions

We want you to have the best experience with your Meaningful Mantras wellness candle, and have discovered some tips on how to create the optimal burn!

Because our candles are
made from real plant materials, slight variations can be expected. Please do not expect our candles to smell like the synthetically fragranced candles in most stores. Always store your candle in a cool, dry place at room temperature and keep it away from direct sunlight and high humidity. Be sure to store your candle with the lid on to keep the essential oil aromas inside.

The first time you burn your candle is extremely important: Allow your candle to burn until the melted wax reaches the edge of the container. This could take between 1 and 2 hours in our 8 oz candle. Burning the candle this length of time will prevent the wax from tunneling on the side of the jar. Candles that have tunneling have severely reduced burn time.

It is also important to limit your burn time to approximately 3 to 4 hours each burn time. The wax and container get extremely hot. Please do not touch the container while your candle is burning. As always, burn your candle on a flat, flame retardant surface and never leave it unattended. We recommend burning our candles on a coaster, and not directly on your furniture. Avoid burning your candles in a direct draft, because the glass can turn black. Once it cools and hardens, the scorched wax can be wiped away with a rag or cloth.

We have found that the optimal burn for our candles is achieved with a shorter cotton wick. Our wicks burn best when they are trimmed to approximately 1/4." This will require you to periodically trim the wick. No special tools are needed! This can be done by snapping the burnt ends off with your fingers. If your flame gets larger than 1 ½”, please extinguish the candle and allow it to cool. Once your candle cools, you can trim your wick to approximately ¼” to ½”. Remove the wick trimmings before relighting your candle.

Your candle is finished once 1/2" of wax is remaining in the jar. We recycled and encourage you to recycle or repurpose your glass containers. We hope you loved your aromatherapy candle!
